NEW! Poem by Peter Conners

Peter Conners

MEAT ZOO

The monkeys had been burning all morning. In the midst of it all, peanuts were sold at a discount. Polar bears batted seal corpses across their habitat. The cows were made of ground beef with two lamb eyeballs wedged into their heads at odd angles. Penguin skins were doormats; orange duck feet propped open lavatory doors. The crows were laughing in their trees.
